On lack of Hirst fix, Rep. David Taylor tells KVI “this is about controlling people”
Appearing on KVI, Rep. David Taylor, R-Moxee, highlights differences between Democrats and Republicans on proposed fixes for the Hirst Supreme Court ruling, which has restricted rural well water rights, and says the fight over access to water is about control.
Hosts John Carlson and Kirby Wilbur also ask Taylor about attempts by Democrats to take credit for meager rollbacks on car tab fees and whether the majority party has enough votes to pass gun control legislation. They also ask the Republican lawmaker to weigh in on the state Department of Licensing’s change in releasing personal information to federal immigration authorities.
