Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Having reached the halfway point of the scheduled 105-day legislative session, I'd like to invite you to join Rep. Chandler and me in a 15th District telephone town hall this Monday, March 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The input we get from the forum will be very important in guiding the decisions we'll be making in Olympia during the remaining weeks of the session.
Bruce and I hosted one of these events last year, and the positive feedback from people like you persuaded us that this innovative approach to communicating with constituents complimented traditional in-district town meetings.
If you have participated before, you know how it works. If not, it's easy.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., please call 1-877-229-8493 and enter pin number 15540. This will connect you to our community conversation. The format is similar to that of a call-in talk show, and allows constituents to listen to the live conversation, ask questions and express their opinions on poll questions. The teleforum will last an hour.
At the end of the conversation, anyone who stays on the line can leave a voice-mail message with comments which will be forwarded to Rep. Chandler and me.
We know people in our district have busy lives, and because of scheduling conflicts, logistics or mobility issues, they might not be able to participate in a traditional meeting. This interactive technology connects thousands of residents to the virtual town hall quickly and conveniently.
It's a great way for us to communicate with the folks back home, and I look forward to the conversation. We have a lot to talk about, and I encourage you to join us Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Thanks for the privilege of serving you.
Sincerely,

David Taylor
