Chandler, Taylor plan 15th District tele-forum

State Reps. Bruce Chandler and David Taylor are inviting 15th District residents to participate in a telephone town meeting Thursday, Feb. 25. The community conversation will begin at 6:50 p.m. and last an hour.
The interactive tele-forum technology connects thousands of people to the virtual town meeting with their legislators. The format is similar to that of a call-in talk show, and allows constituents to listen to the live conversation, ask questions and express their opinions on poll questions.
“This is a great way for us to communicate with the folks back home,” said Chandler, R-Granger. “I place a very high value on the comments and thoughts of the people we represent, and look forward to the conversation.”
“The input we get from the forum will be very important in guiding the decisions we'll be making in Olympia during the final weeks of the session, said Taylor, R-Moxee. “Because of the size of our district, this technology allows us to reach out to many more people than would be able to take part in a traditional in-district town meeting.”
Constituents can call in to talk to Chandler and Taylor by dialing 1-877-229-8493 and, when prompted, entering PIN number 15540. Once on the line, participants may select *3 (star 3) on their telephone keypads to ask a question.
At the end of the conversation, anyone who stays on the line can leave a voice-mail message with comments which will be forwarded to Chandler and Taylor.
