Taylor to host 15th District town hall meetings

State Rep. David Taylor will host legislative town hall meetings this month in Goldendale, Stevenson and Sunnyside.

The 15th District lawmaker will present an overview of issues that were addressed during the Legislature's 105-day session, which adjourned April 26. Following Taylor's opening remarks, the meetings will be open for questions and comments from constituents. There also will be time afterward for people to talk with him individually.

“Constituent contact is extremely valuable in helping guide our decisions in Olympia,” said Taylor, R-Moxee, who was appointed to the state House March 30. “The open-forum setting provides a great opportunity for informal give-and-take discussions.”

The June town hall schedule:

Goldendale: June 23 – 7 p.m. – Klickitat County PUD Building (1313 S. Columbus Ave.)

Stevenson: June 24 – 7 p.m. – Rock Creek Community Center (710 S.W. Rock Creek Dr.)

Sunnyside: June 25 – 7 p.m. – Banner Bank conference room (911 E. Edison Ave.)

“I believe it's imperative for constituents to have access to their legislators, and I want to ensure that the folks I represent have an open door to let me know their thoughts and opinions,” Taylor said. “It's a great honor and privilege to serve our district, and I'm working hard to be accessible, to be a legislator people can count on, and to earn their trust and confidence.”
